Getting started in Blender

This week, I got started making 3D models using the modelling software Blender.
The first warmup task was to make a barrel in Blender while following a tutorial, but as I have used Blender before (although it has been quite a few years), I decided not to use the provided tutorial and see how much I remembered. There were a few minor things that I needed a refresher on, but other than those, I did it fairly easily.
After that, I was tasked with making something you would see at a tourist attraction. For this task, I chose to make a model of the Observatory Shelter at the top of Kunyanyi/Mt Wellington. This was a much more complex model to make, and it helped me remember more of my 3D modelling skills. I also added more detailed textures to this model to make it look a bit more real, as opposed to the cartoony barrel that I made.
